I would day if your on a small side of the size you usually wear you mY be able to down a size on this but it's hard to say. I got the size I usually would get at any store.it fits well, with a tab bit of wiggle room which I do r like tight shirts anywayI am usually a 12/14 and the 1x is perfect as a nightgown. Covers my rear and not tight anywhere. Very soft. Wish there were more light colors.This top is excellent quality! I got the light pink in 1x and it fits a bit large (i'm usually L or XL) but I like it a bit loose so for me it's perfect. I might shorten the length a few inches since it sits halfway between my buttocks and knees, depending how much it shrinks after a few washes. I had typed in Pjs and the order I put in had a picture of 2 pieces which I expected. I only got the top. Pjs means pants and top so I feel really deceived.It looks great, the color is beautiful, but the fabric is thinner, not as soft, or as nice quality of a lot of the other JMS tops. Won't be buying more of them.I mainly wanted this top for lounge wear in the house but it would function very well as a regular shirt. I ordered it a couple of sizes larger because it will function as comfort wear or pajamas for me. Nice weight, and length and very soft. The v at the neckline has a nice pattern to it which was unexpected. I got the plum and black version and plan to reorder them. When I find something I like, I get it in multiples.
