Finally! I feel like goldilocks. I guess 3rd time is a charm? So, initially I got these in an XL which is pretty much the same exact size as the 1x. Not sure why they do that... that was waaaaaaay to small since I have a little junk in my trunk and yes its been a while since I went skiing regularly. It was way too much effort to try and pull these over my butt and then try and fasten the buttons, but everything else fit a little more snug than I would have liked as well. I feel like when you're skiing, you should be comfortable and I generally like to wear some workout pants or leggings underneath. So, I returned those no problem. I then ordered the 3X thinking these would be roomy enough to not be an issue pulling on and wear another layer underneath. I was right, but they were too big and I was basically able to slide these bad boys off without unzipping or unbuttoning the pants either. I even thought about just using a belt, but I was too afraid that if I had a spill or got up from sitting on the chair lift, I'd be constantly still pulling up the pants and would definitely always have to wear a pair of pants underneath. So, I returned that pair and decided a last ditch effort to get the 2X which thankfully fits. It's a little weird because now that there's definitely enough room for my behind, the thighs seem a little snug, but not enough that I can't wear workout pants underneath, but just thought it'd be a little more room there you know to coincide with the size of my butt. However, I love the quality of the pants and definitely think these will keep me warm trudging through the snow or skiing. I dropped a star off only because I had to call twice to customer service because they said my package had been delivered when I never ever got it. (Unless I have a neighbor that only wanted to steal only this item more than once...lol). It was through AMZL and not the regular UPS, USPS, or FedEx both times when it was never delivered. When I did receive the packages, it was shipped through UPS.These pants are too cute. I purchased a 2x. my cloths varies in size so I was worried that they would be too small. However, when I got them they were a litte tight but not unbearable. Kind of like form fitting jeans would be. However I noticed that the more I wore them through the day, the looser they got in the waist area. I'm 5'7 so the length was ok for me. The fushia color is really neat. I wore these to work on a cold D.C. day and had minium swish when I moved about. Generally snowpants make alot of noise when a person walks...not these. I liked them so much I ordered more in different colors but in a 3x. Hopefully the 3x will not be too big. The waist is adjustable so if they are too big, I will tighted the waist. I can deal with a little big as I like to allow for washing and drying anyway. Plus I like to wear tights under my cloths when it cold outside.Again, really good product and it did keep me warm and has a cozy feeling when outside in the cold temptures. The reason I listed fits as expected is beacuse it really depends on a womens body type. I think the price is a bit on the high side, so hopefully I wil have these for years to come. I generally would not pay this much for a pair of pants but you only live once....Alrighty, so I recently ordered these Columbia Bugaboos for snowboarding and let me tell ya, they are hands down my favorite pair of snow pants I have ever owned and probably my most successful online purchase ever! I went snowboarding in them for a solid 6 hours and was warm (a little too warm) and dry the entire time. Not to mention super stylish! Perfect for a day on the slopes. Now to help you guys out with sizing, I'm a thick girl obviously, 5'7" and 270 lbs. I normally where size 18-20 and I ordered a 3X. They worked perfectly! Super easy to bend over and lock in my bindings because the waist isn't super tight, plus there's little adjustable velcro straps on the inside for your waist. Squatting and sitting is super easy and comfortable in these! I never felt like they were constricting at all. They are a tiny bit long but once my boots are on, it's not even noticeable. If you guys are hesitant on buying these, I say definitely go for it because they are amazing! 10/10I ordered a size 3x (and trampled down on what pride I have left about being any size) where in street clothes I wear about a 20W. Definitely worth it to fit over street clothes. These bad boys are warm and toasty and are really my first white pants EVER. And they look great! So the fastener is pretty cool - the normal fly is in the front, but there are two velcro tabs inside the waist band that you can adjust the waist a smidge. Very useful if your waist is a slight bit smaller than the average. The fit is very comfortable, and I'm a pretty curvy gal (if you couldn't guess). When I sat down or bent over, the pants did pull at the back like any normal pair would do so test that out if you get these pants with your coat before committing. As for this plus sized girly, I'm so excited to go use these in the snow!I love the quality!! These pants keep you very dry and warm. While my kids went to ski school I stayed (in freezing cold) and watched them for a very long time. Even though I was not moving much for about 2 hours I did not feel a bit cold. Also I tested them while tubing in the snow for about 6 hours. I was sliding on my bottom more than on the actual tube and there was not even a drop of water coming through the bottom of the pants. So happy with my choice!!I ordered these and the Columbia "Modern Mountain" pants for the big blizzard to hit the east coast (Jan '16) and went so far as to pick them up from the Fed Ex facility to ensure I was prepared for snow play. The only difference between the two (besides the pockets) is that the Bugaboos are "waterproof breathable" where the Modern Mountain pants are just "waterproof." They fit exactly the same, and both would be improved upon by an elastic waist, instead of the internal velcro adjustment tabs, which don't give at all when you move. As other noted, the sizing is a bit slim, and I should have ordered up one size from my usual. But such a lot of snow came, was played in, and snug pants worn.It is hard to find ski pants for larger people! I was concerned that the sizing would be wrong (like so many other products I have purchased online), however, these are true to size.I am a larger person (approx. 250lbs - normally wear a size 22) and the 3X fits great. I purposely bought a size up, to make sure there would be room with a pair of sweat pants underneath (as that is what I would be wearing outside) and they were comfortable and flexible - still had extra room to make sitting easy.I am also short (5'4") and a the pant legs are long, but they will work great with boots on. If you have wide boots (like sorrels), there are snap buttons on the legs to make them wider, if needed.Details about the pants:* There is 1 zipper pocket on the front right side and 2 back pockets with Velcro closures.* The front closure is a zipper with 2 snap buttons and Velcro - so they shouldn't come undone, unless you want them too.* The inside has an adjustable waist, so if it is too big, you can tighten them up. It looks to be a strong Velcro adjuster.* The inside seems very soft and the outside is a soft waterproof shell. My only concern with this product was how it arrived. Before I opened the bag, I noticed that there was hair all over them (looked like animal hair). These are white ski pants and will pick up everything... however, these are brand new - so there shouldn't be anything on them. I have taken pictures of how they arrived and have taken a lint roller to them. They NOW look brand new. That is the reason for my 4 star rating.
